Update

We've had a busy month this March! We saw Barney live in concert, made it to Chicago to visit Grandma and Grandpa Kennedy and to meet Aunt Jean Kennedy for the first time, attended a few birthday parties, become a professional shopper and even spent an evening on the farm!

Barney!

Loving the show!

Dancing in the aisles!

Having lunch with Grandpa Kennedy.

Reading a book with Aunt Jean Kennedy.

Enjoying a Blondie's Cookie after power shopping with mommy and Grandma P!

Holding her first baby chick!

She had fun with the chicks but cows are still her favorite!

Miami

Izzie, John and I traveled to Miami last month to visit grandma Marijo and Rick. Fortunately, Izzie's first airplane ride wasn't too rough and, best of all, we had gorgeous weather while in Miami! Eighty degrees and sunny was a nice break from the cold and snowy winter we've had here in Michigan.

In the Kalamazoo Airport waiting to board the plane.

On the airplane, ready for Miami!

At the kiddie pool or, as Izzie called it, "the pond!"

Watching dolphins at the Miami Seaquarium.

She loved the ocean and beach!

Thank you to Marijo and Rick for a wonderful week!

Izzie's 1st Haircut!

Izzie went to the salon for her very first haircut this past weekend. She did really well (thanks to the sucker we gave her) and sat the entire time while Buffy evened things out to a shoulder length bob.

Izzie turns 2!

Izzie is now two years old! We celebrated with a Dora fiesta!

Izzie also graduated to a big girl bed. Well, it wasn't by mommy and daddy's choice... she just refused to sleep in her crib AT ALL, so we had no move her! We have good and bad nights still but are hoping to get back to sleeping all night again soon!

Despite the cold, cold temperatures, we've made it out and about for a little play time in the snow! We were able to sled in our front yard and also visit friends on Diamond Lake for the annual broomball game!

Happy Holidays!

We've been busy catching up with family and friends over the past few weeks and have neglected the blog! Fortunately, we were able to get pictures of most everything. So, here is a brief recap:

We started with the Gorham family Christmas party. Izzie loves babies and was all over holding cousin Jayden!

The cousins had their own gift exchange this year. They all loved tearing into the gifts and then had a great time playing with everything.

Posing in front of grandma's Christmas tree.

Cousin Kayley read her a bedtime story.

Eating one of the frosted cookies we had for Santa. Yum!

Loving her new Dora couch she got for Christmas!

Meeting cousin Jaila for the first time.

Sadly, for us, saying goodbye to cousin Bridget. We'll miss you, Bridget, but are so happy for your new opportunity! Good luck in Cleveland!

Santa

We had another busy December weekend! My dad, John and I headed to Ann Arbor to watch the Big Chill in the Big House - MSU v. Michigan hockey in the football stadium. It was cold but worth every minute to experience the atmosphere and be part of a Guinness World Record! Plus, it was great to watch a Michigan team dominate on that football field :)

Then, we took Izzie to Butler Tree Farm to see Santa Claus. To our surprise, she did really well. She talked to him and even let him hold her!

Tree! Lights!

We have a Christmas lover on our hands :) Izzie is into all things Christmas - trees, lights, music and cartoons. To my surprise, she sat still for the entire hour of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer that aired this week. We also attended the annual Dowagiac Christmas Parade and finally got our Christmas tree!

Eating popcorn and watching Rudolph in bed!

Eating dinner before the parade starts.

Kyley, Izzie and John watching the parade.

Picking out the tree.

Feeding one of Santa's reindeer!
