Izzie saw Dr. Barrett this morning for her four month checkup and things are good! She weighed 12 lbs 15 oz - up only 15 oz from last month. Her length was 24.5 inches which was up a whole inch and a half from last month! Her weight only puts her in the 36th percentile and her height is in the 55th percentile. The doctor said that her growth is right on target and we have nothing to be worried about.
We also wonder if she has outgrown the reflux. Usually, the dosage of medication is increased as babies gain weight but we've kept Izzie at the original dosage. She hasn't spit up or become out of control irritable like she was when she was first born. The plan is to wait until her six month appointment. If she's still doing well we may try to take her off the medicine to see how she does.
As far as starting solids, Dr. Barrett would like us to wait as long as possible. She seems to be doing well so John and I decided that we are going to wait until she seems unsatisfied with her formula.
Overall, the visit was a good one. She was even in a good mood at the doctor's office for the first time ever! She won over the nurses and the doctor with her huge smile and big laughs! Afterward Izzie couldn't get in Debbie's house fast enough. She hadn't been in two days and it was obvious that she missed all of her friends.

She is beautiful, what a pretty smile. You had to have a ball showing her off at the wedding. I LOVE the picture above! Can't wait to see her in June.
